Each year, the Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Societies (AISS) programme attracts applicants from all over the world. One of the most common questions we receive is about scholarships, costs, and affordability. This post aims to clarify how funding works and why AISS remains accessible even beyond the Erasmus Mundus full scholarship.
10 students per intake are awarded the full Erasmus Mundus scholarship. These scholarships fully cover tuition fees, in addition to providing a monthly stipend. The scholarship is granted for the top 10 best students in the admission ranking.
However, it is important to emphasize:
not receiving the full scholarship does not mean you cannot join the programme.
Tuition Fees and Programme Costs:
For students admitted without the full scholarship, the tuition fee is:
- €2,000 per semester
- €8,000 total for the full two-year programme (four semesters)
The tuition fee covers the academic programme itself. It does not include:
- Living expenses (housing, food, local transportation)
- Travel costs between partner universities
Erasmus Mobility Grants for Non-Scholarship Students
AISS students who are not awarded the full Erasmus Mundus scholarship may still be eligible for Erasmus+ mobility grant during the programme. These grants support students when moving between partner universities.
