The Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Societies (AISS) programme is opening an additional admissions round for a limited number of tuition-paying student places.
Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Societies focuses on sustainability, artificial intelligence and data-driven decisions, and participatory design methods engaging citizens. After completing the Master’s Programme, students understand and can use a participatory design approach for studying and designing AI and data-driven sustainable solutions for societies.
Who can apply?
This admissions round is open to:
- Applicants with EU or EEA citizenship
- Applicants with Ukrainian citizenship
- Applicants who hold a long-term residence permit in the EU/EEA
- Estonian applicants, who can apply through the national admission system (SAIS)
Application Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- English language proficiency
- Completed application in DreamApply
- Submission of a financial plan

Study Across Three European Universities
Study alongside students from around the world and engage with an interdisciplinary community working at the intersection of AI, sustainability, and society. The programme takes place in three countries, each offering a different focus:
- Tallinn University (Estonia)
- Lusófona University (Portugal)
- Tampere University (Finland)

Erasmus Mobility Opportunities
Self-funded students may be eligible to apply for Erasmus mobility funding through participating universities to support mobility periods during the programme.
